idle, is a an event and social experiment based in downtown LA, aimed to change the perception of laziness from negative
to positive, by exploring the waves of thought that are left unsaid and unexplored while in a still yet busy environment.

This project draws inspiration from the mindfulness movement. We all have things we want to say but often keep them inside, held back by pride or fear.

So why not write these thoughts on canvas, like a sketch, and give them to strangers—freeing that inner dialogue and releasing it into the world?

The idea for this project stems from the recent mindfulness movement that's pervasive everywhere. We all have so many things we want to say—to him, to her, or to you. But more often than not, we keep these thoughts to ourselves, held back by pride, fear, or the desire for comfort. So I thought, “Why not write it on a canvas, as one might sketch, then give it to strangers? This act could free that inner dialogue, releasing it into the wild.'"
